SASSA Application Status Outcomes

When you check your application status, you may see the different responses. It can make it hard for you to understand what it means. Here, I will explain their complete meanings and the necessary actions to take:

1. Application Complete

Your application for the SRD grant has been completed and your R370 application will be reverified each month. However, you are still one step away from receiving your grant money. You have to regularly check your application status for the latest updates.

2. Application Approved

It means the SASSA has approved your application and now you have to pick any payment method to get your grant amount. You can easily receive your grant payment through your bank account and cash send method.

3. Bank Details Pending

The code “Bank Details Pending” means that SASSA has successfully received your application or reapplication. However, you have not submitted your banking details yet. You have to select a payment method to receive your grant amount. You can select or update your banking details by following the simple steps in our guide, SASSA Change Banking Details.

4. Identity Verification Failed

It usually occurs when your provided information does not match with the “Department of Home Affairs” (DHA) records. A typing error in your name and surname can cause this issue. You have to update your information to resolve this issue.

5. Application Pending

It means SASSA is still verifying your application. Your grant application is under review and SASSA needs more time for the verification. Once your application is verified, SASSA will automatically update your status. Please check your status regularly to check whether your application has been approved or not.

6. Period Pending Status

It refers that your reapplication for the specific month is still pending. This pending status can last for a few weeks. Please check your SRD status more often to see whether this status is updated or not.

7. Period Declined Status

It means that the SASSA rejects your SRD application for a specific month. If you are not satisfied with this response, you can apply for reconsideration.

8. Reapplication Pending

Reapplication Pending” means that you have not submitted your reapplication for the SRD grant yet. Now, you have to submit a reapplication for the R370 grant through their official website. You can also check our SASSA SRD R350 grant article for the complete reapplication process. (LINK OF SASSA SRD R350 GRANT GUIDE)

9. Application Cancelled

This result means that SASSA has canceled your application. You can reinstate your grant easily through the official SASSA website.

SASSA Status Check Methods

There are seven methods to check your application status that I have personally tested. Here, I will explain the complete procedures to check your status.

What Do You Require to Check Your SASSA Status?
